Dominque Ampe

I was born in Belgium and grew up in West Africa, where a mix of cultures, languages, and religions shaped my understanding of human connection and diversity. These experiences continue to inform my work as a therapist, helping me bring empathy, openness, and a global perspective to the people I work with.

Now based in the UK for over 30 years, I am a COSRT-registered Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist trained at the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS). I believe everyone deserves relationships and a sexual life that feel authentic, joyful, and fulfilling — a belief that inspired me to specialise in psychosexual and relationship therapy.

My approach is grounded in anti-oppressive, trauma, shame, and neurodiversity-informed values, integrating a bio-psycho-social model that considers the many factors shaping sexual and relational wellbeing. I work affirmatively with Gender, Sex, and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) and am committed to creating an inclusive, sex-positive, and non-judgmental space.

I support individuals and couples from diverse cultural, religious, and gender backgrounds with concerns such as compulsive sexual behaviours, infidelity, erectile and ejaculation difficulties, painful sex, low or mismatched desire, attachment challenges, and communication breakdowns.

My global experiences allow me to recognise the complex interplay between identity, spirituality, ethnicity, culture, and relationships, helping clients explore these influences with curiosity and compassion.
