The Contemporary Therapy Network (CTN) is a collective of therapists dedicated to making high-quality mental health support accessible and affordable. Our team includes fully qualified practitioners and specialist therapists-in-training, all united by our core connection to the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS). As a premier UK-based psychotherapy training provider, CICS ensures that every member of our network operates at the forefront of modern therapeutic practice.
Get In TouchWe utilise evidence-based, modern approaches to mental health. Our team is trained in Pluralistic Therapy, meaning we adapt our methods to fit your unique needs rather than using a "one-size-fits-all" model.
We specialise in talk-based support for a wide range of concerns. This includes general counselling for anxiety, depression and other mental health issues as well as specialist sex and relationship therapy.
We bridge the gap between clinical expertise & affordability. By bringing together qualified experts and supervised trainees, we provide a UK-wide online and in-person service that fits your specific goals and your budget.

As our Placement Manager, Helaina is your first point of contact in our Network. She will ensure that your enquiry is received sensitively and confidentially and that you are referred to the team member best placed to support your needs. Helaina is a Registered Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist and, as such, has a clear understanding of our clients’ concerns and how best to support them.

Julie is our Clinical Director and Principal of the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology. She is a UKCP Registered and Accredited general psychotherapist, COSRT Senior Accredited Sex and Relationship Therapist, COSRT Accredited Clinical Supervisor and NCPS Senior Accredited Registrant. Julie has extensive experience working with psychotherapy themes both in the NHS and in private practice
