Jo is a qualified Clinical Sexologist and Sex & Relationship Therapist, registered with COSRT, and has been running a successful private practice in South-East London for nearly 20 years. Her work is grounded in the biopsychosocial model, which recognises the deep connection between our biology, psychology, and social world, offering a truly holistic understanding of sexual and relationship wellbeing.
Alongside her specialist training, Jo is a BACP Accredited Integrative Therapist who works from a pluralistic framework, thoughtfully adapting her approach to meet each client’s individual needs. Her background in the NHS and education sector has enriched her practice, bringing a depth of understanding about the various ways people experience and navigate life’s challenges.
Jo completed her clinical training in Sexology with the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS), where she also trained as a Clinical Supervisor. She is currently finalising her Advanced Diploma in Clinical Sexology, researching sexual dysfunction in people with Opioid Use Disorder, expected to complete in early 2026.
As an EMDR Trauma Therapist (EMDR UK), Jo has particular expertise in supporting clients through sexual trauma, traumatic grief, and birth trauma. She also holds a BA (Hons) in Counselling and an MSc in Psychology, and is passionate about creating a space where learning, growth, and self-connection can flourish for both her clients and fellow professionals.
Working with individuals, couples, and multipartnered people, both online and in person, Jo creates an environment that is empathic, compassionate, and inclusive. Her practice is LGBTQ+, neurodivergent-affirmative, and kink-aware, ensuring that each person’s unique identity, relationships, and sexual expression are welcomed and respected.
Jo supports people with a wide range of concerns, including sexual function difficulties, shame, trauma, compulsive sexual behaviours, and relationship challenges. At the heart of her work is a commitment to helping people reconnect with themselves and others, fostering healing, confidence, and authenticity in their relationships and within themselves.
